Verizon Wireless supports wireless connection of Palm’s Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Pluss
Palm has been known to have a great comeback at the CES2010, by reviving and giving additional life to their business in the past year with their introduction of the Palm Pre. A more augmented update is now in store for potential users. This means that there is a percent increase in the performance of the newest innovation that Palm will be offering to the users.
Along with the new offer, the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus both headed to Verizon Wireless’ network for their Wi-Fi connectivity measures. Palm Pre has undergone the SlashGear test bench. Palm is careful not to disappoint their potential customers by offering products which have been fully checked and are ready to go.
This new Palm mobile hotspot application will be available in the App Catalog, which makes the application functional for Verizon Wireless users. In order to connect to the internet fully, the user will need a suitable 3G Mobile Hotspot add-on to the users’ data plan. Application use costs $40 for 5GB with a $29.99 regular “unlimited” data plan for a total of $69.99.
In summary, it works just as a MiFi would. Once you set up an initial SSID and password, opening the app will share the 3G EVDO Rev. When the user has this done, then a list of all the connected clients will be shown on the phone, which in turn supports up to five are supported at a single time. Since the Pre Plus supports multitasking the user can continue to use other apps while mobile hotspot is still running.
