Social Networking Is Simply So Addictive
I consider myself as one of these social network addicts! Every time I turn on my laptop, I visit Twitter and Facebook. The reason I like Twitter is because it allows me to follow the news, friends, events, make new friends who have the same interest in a quick and easy way.
For Facebook, I like it because I can find long lost friends, share experiences, chitchat, get updates from my connections, and can create event invitations to all guests (e.g. for a reunion party). Moreover, Facebook has lots of fun games and quizzes to play upload all photos we wanted to share with friends. The great thing Twitter and Facebook share is the fact that they are user friendly, nice and clean design, and has huge amount of users.
Another social network I like is created for professionals: LinkedIn. I found that it helps me a lot in finding candidates as I am a recruitment specialist. LinkedIn gives me the benefit in searching for the right one in a limited time and if the one I contact is not really my candidate, I get a new connection and we can sometimes be good friends too. In LinkedIn, I found a great alternative to eBay and a wonderful website tools for example – that’s not so easy to find in a search engine.
For some reason, the people I meet in social networks tend to become good friends. It may because we have an opportunity to view their activities, their reactions, and even what they have in mind on the websites. Many times I found that people feel more comfortable to show they true self through social network than face to face, and it helps a lot in minimizing gaps among some groups of people.
