Do you really get support from Technical people?
Electronic products get into our nerves when they start malfunctioning. It does not matter whether they are, cell phones, television, computers, DVD players, gaming consoles, etcetera. Unless you are an electronic technician familiar with the contraption, then it might not be a problem. We once had a great Panasonic component that plays cassette tapes and really great speakers. It was well maintained and we did not want to dispose of it with the coming of CD and DVD players. We wanted to keep the brand, so we sought for Panasonic help. We asked their technical people if we could get a Panasonic CD/DVD player to match with the component with the use of a cassette adapter. The technical person was more on suggesting to us to buy a component with CD/DVD player!
Technology for gadgets advance too much that it seems manufacturers would no longer support a bit older models. It has happened also to my old reliable Sharp F0-120 fax machine. The technical problem was simple – just a manual for the unit. No matter how hard I tried searching online for information on that particular model, it did not seem to exist. The model and serial number does not even appear on their website model line-up and scroll option! The fax prints out a ‘User Guideline’ but does not have any information on how to change the stored names and numbers, that’s why I need the manual.
The only product that gave good help on their products is Samsung support. When Samsung started business, many said that it is the Sony of Korea. Anyway, they are very supportive of their products especially cell phones. My daughter had problems on some functions on her mobile and had to call their support group. They were really quick to assist and very fluent in guiding a customer to the right procedures.
